Meet Kendra
Kendra Herber is an author, educator, model, and adaptive athlete whose life has been defined by resilience, determination, and a passion for inspiring others. Born with a congenital deformity that led to amputation at age two, she has embraced both the challenges and triumphs of her journey while building a fulfilling life with her husband and their two daughters. A high school English teacher for nearly two decades, Kendra is dedicated to helping students grow and succeed. She is the author of WHOLE: A Leg Up On Life, a memoir that shares her personal story and encourages others to embrace their own journeys. She advocates for greater representation and self-confidence among individuals with physical differences. Kendra also achieved national and international success in paratriathlon, earning the title of 2023 National Champion, reaching a world ranking of No. 6, and serving as a 2024 Paralympic alternate. Today, she continues to pursue new goals as a competitive para standing tennis athlete, using her experiences to empower others to live boldly and authentically.
